binary - what is exactly an EOF? -

EOF is a special byte sequence that is at the end of each file, or this is a slight exception (which is notified) By Kernel

Long time ago on DOS machines this ^ Z , but Nowadays it tries to read it while notifying the kernel and program to reach the end of the file.
