c# - Are there any good version control programs for a Windows box that do not have to be installed? -

On my work machine, I do not have permission to install anything, and surprisingly, any version control software package Not set up I am using VS2008, and was hoping to work on the basis of SourceSafe. I've talked to a network administrator, and I can find "We do not have any version control installed." Are there some good ways to go about this, or do I need to cut a bullet?
